Description
Precision resistance thermometer with thin metal sheath and extra small ceramic temperature detector. This eXacal thermometer is designed to measure radial and vertical temperature profiles.
Temperature range: -100 °C to 250 °C
small measurement uncertainties:
between 5 mK and 10 mK
fast measuring times due to thin metal sheath
Good heat connection due to small temperature sensor
optimal for the measurement of vertical temperature gradients
This eXacal thermometer was developed to measure vertical and radial temperature profiles in calibration equipment as part of the measurement uncertainty. This is required in several guidelines such as DKD-R 5-4 “Calibration of block calibrators”, DKD-R 5-3 “Calibration of thermocouples” or DKD-R 5-1 “Calibration of resistance thermometers”. In addition, the thermometer is suitable for measuring and setting heating zones on calibration furnaces. Of course, the thermometer can also be used in general to measure temperatures accurately.
Calibration
eXacal thermometers are calibrated in our own DAkkS calibration laboratory. The DAkkS accreditation ensures that all calibrations are traceable to national and international standards.
The calibration of the eXacal resistance thermometers is performed at ITS-90 fixed points. It is also possible to perform calibrations according to the comparison method in calibration baths and calibration furnaces. The measurement uncertainty is calculated from many components. The largest components are reproducibility, ITS-90 characteristic, self-heating and hysteresis.
