Resistance thermometers and thermocouples
eXacal precision thermometers are used for precise temperature measurements or as calibration standards. They have been continuously optimised over many years in our thermometer manufactory to ensure the highest measurement accuracy. The range of eXacal thermometers is wide and can be used in a temperature range of -200 °C to 1200 °C. Our resistance thermometers offer a robust alternative to the extremely fragile ITS-90 standard thermometers. The eXacal thermocouples, made of platinum, are available with or without stainless steel reference junction.

Robust secondary SPRT reference thermometer for the most accurate temperature measurements
Our SPRT (standard platinum resistance thermometers) are used in precision temperature measurement as a calibration standard and for accurate temperature measurement in demanding applications. Designed to meet the needs of research, industry and quality assurance, these thermometers offer outstanding accuracy and reliability. The SPRT (standard platinum resistance thermometers) meet the requirements of the ITS-90.

Industrial reference thermometers (Pt100 and noble metal thermocouples): Perfectly designed for industrial use in traceable temperature measurements or as secondary standards in industrial calibrations, for example in a temperature dry block calibrator.

Special designs: We also manufacture precision thermometers to individual customer requirements, including difference thermometers, angled temperature probes and thermometers to special customer specifications.
Immersion thermometers
The eXacal immersion thermometers (platinum resistance thermometers) are temperature sensors designed for extreme environments where both the junction and leads must withstand temperatures throughout the temperature range of the temperature sensor. These immersion thermometers can be used in various applications including the calibration of sensors in laboratory coolers, autoclaves, ovens, stability test chambers and incubators. They can be fully immersed in liquids or dry media.
Thermometer Manufacture – Precision thermometers made by hand
Our eXacal precision thermometers are handmade in our manufactory in Fulda, Germany. They are specially designed for precise temperature measurements in the range from -200°C to 1200°C. Our expertise goes beyond the product: we also develop specialised tools and manufacturing processes. From design to final DAkkS calibration, we are completely independent of external suppliers, which ensures the high quality of our thermometers.
Calibration of eXacal thermometers
eXacal thermometers are calibrated in our own DAkkS calibration laboratory.
The calibration of the eXacal precision thermometers is done at ITS-90 temperature fixed points in the range from the argon triple point to the silver freezing point with excellent measurement uncertainties.
Alternatively, the eXacal thermometers can also be calibrated using the comparison method.
eXacal technology
The eXacal precision thermometers have been developed from scratch. Each component has been designed with the greatest care and perfectly matched to the others.
A central highlight is the innovative handle, which serves as the central technology carrier. Thanks to its modular design, it allows combinations of the eXacal thermometers in many different ways.
