To strengthen our team, we are looking for:
Precision Thermometer Assembly (m/f/d) Part-time
The loudest thing in our manufacturing facility is the coffee machine in an adjacent room. Everything else is a microscope, fine tools, and the delicate components that make up a thermometer.
Each of our precision thermometers is handcrafted, and that’s exactly what we need your help with. The finished devices go to automotive manufacturers, aerospace, electronics manufacturing, research institutes, and universities, often custom-adapted to customer requirements. Here, no two workdays are alike.
What you’ll do with us
You’ll work through the entire assembly process, from the measuring resistor to the finished thermometer. This includes threading platinum wire under the microscope, populating and sealing glass tubes and capillaries, laser welding fine connecting wires, and assembling cable guides and strain reliefs from our own 3D printer. Finally, you’ll inspect and document your thermometer and pass it on to our in-house calibration laboratory. You’ll discover which steps you enjoy most during your training.
What you should bring
- A steady hand and the patience to concentrate on one task for an extended period
- An enjoyment of delicate components. It doesn’t matter to us whether you bring this from dental technology, watchmaking, optics, electronics manufacturing, jewelry craftsmanship, model building, or a hobby
- Diligence in documentation, because every thermometer requires proof
- An appreciation for an organized work environment
