Pour une r\u00e9gulation stable de la temp\u00e9rature d\u2019\u00e9talonnage, un chauffage \u00e9lectrique fonctionne \u00ab contre \u00bb le compresseur, qui refroidit toujours \u00e0 puissance maximale. De plus, les fluides d\u2019\u00e9talonnage utilis\u00e9s (comme le silicone ou l\u2019\u00e9thanol, par exemple) voient leur viscosit\u00e9 varier fortement et absorbent l\u2019eau de l\u2019humidit\u00e9 ambiante. Ces deux facteurs compliquent la r\u00e9gulation de la temp\u00e9rature des bains d\u2019\u00e9talonnage.    La temp\u00e9rature la plus basse que les bains d\u2019\u00e9talonnage peuvent atteindre avec une r\u00e9gulation stable est d\u2019environ -80 \u00b0C. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les calibrateurs \u00e0 bloc de temp\u00e9rature sont refroidis par des \u00e9l\u00e9ments Peltier ou des moteurs Stirling. Ces technologies sont limit\u00e9es et peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9es jusqu\u2019\u00e0 env. -50 \u00b0C avec des \u00e9l\u00e9ments Peltier, respectivement jusqu\u2019\u00e0 env. -100 \u00b0C avec des moteurs Stirling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour surmonter ces limitations, nous utilisons l\u2019azote liquide comme \u00ab source de froid \u00bb.
