handle&nbsp;with inert gas filling<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The new design of the gas-tight&nbsp;handle allows the thermometer\u2019s&nbsp;protection tube to be filled with a&nbsp;protective gas. This improves the&nbsp;properties of the thermometer and&nbsp;ensures less drift and hysteresis&nbsp;at the extremely low temperatures&nbsp;down to the argon point (-189 \u00b0C).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-b1d50903 wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Calibration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>eXacal thermometers are calibrated in our own&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.klasmeier.com\/en\/kalibrierdienst-klasmeier\/\">DAkkS calibration laboratory<\/a>. The DAkkS&nbsp;accreditation ensures that all calibrations are&nbsp;traceable to national and international&nbsp;standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The precision thermometers have been&nbsp;designed so that they can be calibrated very&nbsp;well at temperature fixed&nbsp;points up to the argon&nbsp;triple point. However, calibration can also be&nbsp;done by using the comparison method. Small&nbsp;measurement uncertainties are achieved with&nbsp;the temperature fixed points used. A&nbsp;comparison calibration is done by with ITS-90&nbsp;standard thermometers as calibration standards&nbsp;in calibration baths and calibration furnaces.&nbsp;The measurement uncertainty is calculated from&nbsp;many components. The largest component&nbsp;are reproducibility, ITS-90 characteristic, selfheating an&nbsp;hysteresis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex
