The eXacal measuring resistors represent our expertise and our focus on high-precision temperature measurements, aligned<\/strong>with the International Temperature Scale of 1990<\/strong> (ITS-90), and independent of the conventional DIN EN 60751 standard. With a temperature range from -200\u00b0C to 670\u00b0C<\/strong>, we cover the relevant calibration ranges of the ITS-90, from the temperature fixed pointsargon to aluminum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

…a highly complex, delicate process in which high-purity platinum wire is manually threaded onto a carrier body, for example made of ceramic or quartz, under a microscope. Before threading, the platinum wire must be wound into a coil using a specially designed winding machine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These highly sensitive measuring resistors, which must be protected from environmental influences, are assembled in our thermometer manufactory and further processed into precision thermometers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our measuring resistors are particularly characterized by compliance with the ITS-90 criteria. These are the requirements that a thermometer must meet to be designated as a “Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT)” according to ITS-90. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The temperature coefficient (TC), or alpha value, is not considered according to DIN EN 60751, but is represented as a so-called W-value, where eXacal measuring resistors meet the requirement of W-gallium \u2265 1.11807.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
