Temperature-Resistant Immersion Thermometer

The eXacal immersion thermometers (platinum resistance thermometers) are temperature sensors designed for extreme environments, where both the transition point and the wires must withstand temperatures throughout the entire temperature range of the sensor. These immersion thermometers can be used in various applications, including the calibration of sensors in laboratory coolers, autoclaves, ovens, stability test chambers, and incubators.
The immersion thermometers have a length of 70 mm and a diameter of 4 mm.
They can be fully immersed in dry media from -50 °C to 200 °C.
The immersion thermometer, with a nominal resistance of 100 ohms, is designed to achieve measurement uncertainties of up to 6 mK when calibrated in an accredited laboratory according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 (DAkkS).

Accredited Calibration According to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 (DAkkS) at Temperature Fixed Points

Immersion thermometers can be calibrated in our own DAkkS-accredited calibration laboratory in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. Accreditation to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 (DAkkS) ensures that all calibrations are traceable to national and international standards.

The immersion thermometers are designed to allow precise calibration at temperature fixed points. This is possible because the transition point has such a small diameter that it can be inserted into the temperature fixed points.
Measurement uncertainty is calculated from many components. The main contributors to the uncertainty budget are the reproducibility of the thermometer, ITS-90 deviation function, self-heating, and hysteresis of the temperature sensor.
With the parameters from the calibration certificate, the immersion thermometer can be used with the corresponding deviation function in a temperature range from -38 °C to 156 °C.
